I’d first like to start off by saying that Asia is a huge geographical location. Most people refer to Asia including only the Southeast Asian region. Asia is the second largest land mass by grouping on the planet, next to Africa. Asia is broken up into 5 major geographical regions, they are: Southeast Asia, Far East Asia, Central Asia, Oceania, and The Himalayas. Each region consists of a very different climate, culture, topography, and socio-economic status. The one thing that is very common amongst these regions is that all of them feature LOVELY ASIAN WOMEN. Here is a very brief geography lesson:
Southeast Asia – The most popular and referred to region, includes: Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Philippines
Far East Asia – The Asian Mother Land, includes: China, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan
Central Asia – Also referred to as “The Stans”, includes: Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, and some also include Pakistan
Oceania – Australia, New Zealand, Polynesia, South Pacific Islands, Melanesia, and Micronesia
The Himalayas – India, Nepal, Bhutan, Burma, Pakistan (also Central Asia)
So enough with the geography lesson, let’s get to the “ROCK CLIMBING”. Rock Climbing is broken into several different styles. You have sport climbing, which we will cover here; Bouldering, where minimal equipment is involved; Trad (or traditional) climbing, this is where you place and remove your protection; Free-Soloing, no equipment, just big balls; and ice climbing, of course requires ice and specialized equipment and training.
Overall climbing, no matter what style of climbing you choose, is exciting, adventurous, keeps you in good shape, and is something that you can do with your partner or significant other. Climbing is a great team builder and relationship builder activity. Without getting too in-depth on climbing itself (there is a lot that can be written), we will focus on places in Asia to enjoy rock climbing, particularly “sport climbing.” The most popular sport climbing (and vacation) locations are in SE Asia. Let’s check them out:
THAILAND

Thailand has some of the best sport climbing in the world. Wonderful accommodations with low rates. New locations are popping up regularly. Enjoy Railay, Krabi, Koh Yao Noi Island, Ao Laoliang Island, and Phi Phi. For more info on accommodations, rates, locations, etc go to the links above and follow the climbing info. There is plenty to get you started.

MALAYSIA

Malaysia is another SE Asian location with several climbing destinations. One of them is a major Hindu tourist spot and one of my favorites, Batu Caves. For plenty of info on climbing in Malaysia go to this link and surf around

LAOS – VANG VIENG
Another must do is Laos. Check Adam’s page

VIETNAM

My favorite place in SE Asia….Vietnam! I want to find myself a Hot Viet Senorita! Hey Miss Owner…..holla back! Most of the best climbing destinations are in North Vietnam. I messed around in Ha Long Bay. I recommend using a guide or climbing operator. Be prepared to travel a bit once you get into Vietnam. Check out some of these links:

All in all, climbing is a lot of fun. It is a great way to see Asia and meet new interesting people. Dudes….the ladies make awesome climbers, especially Asian Women. Because of their strength to size ratio, flexibility, and hips they are generally better climbers. They pick up on climbing naturally. Did I mention that they look damn good in the tight little climbing pants and sport bras HOT! So fellas, check your egos at the door. Ladies, I suggest you give it a try. Find a climbing partner on Asiatruelove and maybe you can get freaky at the crags. I hope ATL draws in more of the lovely Asian Women from all over the five regions. More adventures to come………
